The referee who officiates the volleyball match, is authorized to make the final and decisive decisions and has authority over everyone present in the court. The referee performs their duties by standing on a stand called the referee's tower. They announce their declarations and decisions by blowing the whistle and using official hand signals.

Voleybol maçını yöneten, son ve kesin kararları vermeye yetkili, salonda bulunan herkes üzerinde otorite sahibi olan yetkili hakemdir. Görevini hakem kulesi olarak adlandırılan bir sehpa üzerinde ayakta durarak yerine getirir. Bildirimlerini, kararlarını düdük çalarak ve resmî el işaretleri kullanarak ilan eder.
primo arbitro (🇮🇹)
L'arbitro ufficiale che dirige la partita di pallavolo, autorizzato a prendere le decisioni finali e definitive, con autorità su tutti i presenti in palestra. Svolge il suo compito in piedi su una piattaforma chiamata sedia arbitrale. Comunica le sue decisioni fischiando e usando i segnali manuali ufficiali.
